I was contacted (by telephone) for the first time by a man calling himself "Mark Wilson" on July 21, 2016.  He had a heavy Middle-Eastern acccent.  Mr. Wilson informed me that he saw on-line that I'd been denied several loans.  He added/explained that  he could offer me a loan for $ 3,000.  I declined after MW instructed me to purchase an i-Tunes card and put $ 205.00 on it.  I declined.  I contacted a second time on August 3, 2016.  I accecpted this time due to being unemployed.  I borrowed the initial $ 205 from a friend.  Purchased an "i-Tunes" card as per his instructions.  I read Mr. Wilson the numbers on back.

He put me on hold for 12 minutes.  Got back on the phone and instructed me to forward an additional $ 210.  Mark claimed that the additional funds were a penalty for insurance due to my "low credit rating".  I reluctantly and desparatly did so.  40 minutes afterward another man who sounded a great deal like Mark Wilson claimed that he was the "real Mark Wilson" and the other guy was an imposter who hacked into their account.  He said I needed to put $ 143 more dollars on an i-Tunes card and read him the numbers.  He promised that that would be it and I would receive the $ 3,000 loan plus the $ 558.00 that I'd spent on the 3 i-Tunes cards.

Long story short; I was scammed out of $ 558.00.  That's when it finally dawned on me that I'd thrown away the money that I needed. I've called back nearly a dozen times only to get the run-a-round or hung-up on.  Here are a couple other names and numbers used by the would be BOFI Federal Bank operatives:(360)967-5058, (646)653-0432 and (858)869-1606. De Marcus Green and Cristina White.  Both of which had heavy mid-eastern accents.  I hope and pray that the BBB or FTC stop these con artists (scum) before they can scam more people just as naive and gullable as I was.
