Complaint Review: Bonnie Savage - Star Fire Ranch

Bonnie Savage - Star Fire Ranch The woman that owns and runs this barn/ranch is very decaptive. She lies about the horse abilities as well as lies about the horses being regestered. The horses are never what she says they are! Wheelock, Vermont

A very good friend of mine purchased a horse from this woman and after finding out the horse had issues after the horse was in its new home, bonnie would not return phone calls or emails! She refused to talk and she lied about a lot. She did not go along with the agreement for the horses continued training and never gave the new owner the horses registration papers.

She lies about the abilities of all the horses she has. She claims everyone of them is bombproof, they are not. She does not tell potential buyers about medical or behavioral problems any of the horses have. She seems very nice and even a little too nice, untill you have purchased the horse(s), then she wants nothing else to do with you!!!!!She does not take good care of her horses! BUYERS BEWARE

i too purchased a horse from Bonnie Savage.  i bought a beautiful roan mare from her about 2 years ago.  everything Bonnie said this mare could do she does and does it well!  i had no issues with the purchase and no issues with her registration.  the only negative thing i would say was that the pictures posted of this mare were far different then the mare i saw when i arrived at her barn, however, she cleaned up quite well and looks even better now.  my daughter shows this horse in the youth and colorbreed divisions and has multiple day end and year end awards and is off to a great start for this season!  i think Bonnie fell on hard times and discovered she couldnt provide the care these horses needed (evident based on the condition this mare was in) and started unloading them.  i email Bonnie throughout show season to keep her updated on the success my daughter has with this mare and she is always glad to hear from me and is happy to know she sent the horse to a loving home.
