He is an internet fraud guitar dealer. He overcharged me for a junk guitar i bought, then it took him weeks to ship it,when i finally got it, it was the wrong guitar, it had a confederate flag on it. I am african american and was very offened by the matter. so i called him and told him i want my money back, and i would be sending the guitar back. he told me to go pick some cotton and play some blues on my new fiddle, then he hung up. so i sent it back anyways, (with shipping out of my pocket) and it took him about 2 months to send me a refund check. Do NOT buy from him!!!!

Boogie Street Guitars - The finest guitar dealer on the web

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

This is Eric McKenna, owner of Boogie Street Guitars.

This fraudulent 'complaint' was brought to my attention.

We have not sold a guitar to anyone named 'Josh' from New York, New York. Interesting that this 'Josh' does not give his complete name and address and phone number.

We do not have or did we have a incorrect shipment of any guitar with a 'rebel' paintjob on it.

Never have I or would I refer to anyone in such a manner as described in this fraudulent attack on my business and me personally.

We have over 1500 Positive eBay feedback sales and are in our 9th year of business. We have ZERO negative eBay feedbacks. Zero.

BSG's customer base is all over the world and we have thousands of satisfied customers.

I'm not familar with this particular 'business complaint' website - but I've never seen such garbage as which was posted here.

100 percent - false.

As always - I'm available for direct contact.

Thank you,

Eric McKenna

There are big risks in buying used instruments unseen...

I don't know what you paid or what venue you used (ebay is one venue), but I never found buying used instruments or "bargain instruments" sight unseen from unknown dealers to be satisfying.

Most (probably all) of the Epiphone Masterbilts on ebay are factory seconds produced during the factory qualification process of a factory in China manufacturing for Gibson, and then they were dumped to ebay peddlers. Some were good guitars and others were trash, but how do you know what you might get if you do not see what you are buying? One solid rosewood/solid sitka spruce steel string acoustic/electric Epiphone Masterbilt 2nd sold on ebay for $521 plus $55 delivery, and I bought a first quality version of that same Epiphone Masterbilt guitar from Musician's Friend for $600 delivered. I think the extra $24 was worth it.
