I used Booking.com to reserve a hotel reservation # 433518328 and 374998113, I used the Booking.com to cancel and I was still charged for 2 nights at $99. I called to report it and they tell me they have no record of me cancelling.  The hotel is called the District Hotel at 1440 Road Island Ave.N.W. Washington DC.

When you said you canceled the booking, how did you do it? Did you get any confirmation? Normally, online business will send out a confirmation on everything because it can be used as a record of actitivy. Below is from their website.

If you would like to review, adjust or cancel your reservation, please revert to the confirmation email and follow the instructions therein. Please note that you may be charged for your cancellation in accordance with the accommodation provider’s cancellation and no-show policy. We recommend that you read the cancellation and no-show policy of the accommodation provider carefully prior to making your reservation.

If you followed their instruction to cancel and get any confirmation, you may be able to get your money back.
