Booking.com Errors and does not fix Internet
I booked a 3 week trip to thailand using Booking.com. I knew that I had to be flexible so I made sure to book everything except the first and last hotels refundable. Upon realizing I needed to change one reservation I returned to the site to change it and I was informed it was not refundable.
I contacted Booking.com about this and they said they would "look into it." I heard nothing for 2 weeks and had to reach out again. Once I did, they said they would try to contact the hotel.
A week later I still had heard nothing so I called again and they said they had been trying to reach the hotel and would get back to me in 2 days.
Two weeks later after hearing nothing, I received an email saying there was nothing they could do.
In that time I tried contacting the hotel myself through phone and email and get no response.
Booking.com has basically taken the policy that "it's not our problem" and has provided no help since.
I ended up having to cancel the card I booked on to make sure I wasn't charged and recommend no one go through them for travel arrangements
