Complaint Review: booking.com

booking.com website default dates are misleading. cost me $100 Internet

I always use Hotels.com for my room bookings.  I found myself in Kuala Limpurf overnight and found the Royal Bintang hotel (the curve) on Google Maps.  I tried to book the hotel with Hotels.com with no success.  In desperation, I clicked throughj to booking.com and signed up.  I signed up and locked in the rate advertised on Google Maps.

Upon arriving to the hotel, I found that the room was booked for 5 days later!  Unlike Hotels.com, the default check-in date reflects preferred dates, rather than the current date of check-in.  This is a blatant rip off!!  At midnight with no other option, my only choice was to beg the front desk for any available room, and pay over 100% more than the advertised rate.

I HAVE CANCELLED THE RESERVATION AND MY MEMBERSHIP IN BOOKING.COM.  I WILL NEVER USE BOOKING.COM FOR RESERVATIONS AGAIN, AND THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF MY NEGATIVE BLOGS OF THIS SITE.

I cannot imagine how many millions of dollar$$ booking.com makes in reservations that can not be used.  I hope this posting will be seen by a law form that is filing a class action lawsuit on this deceptive practice.

Not suprising, there is no place on the booking.com website to post feedback, suggestions or complaints.
