Complaint Review: Boom Tech Computers - Morgan Brain

A "company" by the name of Boom Tech Computers is looking for virtual assistants on craigslist. The only requirement to be "welcomed to the company" is to agree to get a Bank of America SAVINGS AND CHECKING ACCOUNT and provide the information to someone by the name of "Morgan Brain" over email/chat. This must be done AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and you will not get the job if you do not agree to these terms. I agreed but did not provide any information. I then began to ask questions about the company. What does the position entail? What is the company website? Where is the corporate office located? Is there a number that I can call to verify that this is a legitimate company?... this was because I could find NOTHING online about this company. When I asked these questions, "Morgan" became increasingly irriated and began to dodge every question. She used excuses from the website is under construction to the company is "re-constructing all of their processes"... when I said that was great but asked for a phone number... she provided me with a 20-digit long number which I still attempted to call, knowing that it would not work, and of course it didn't. I then mentioned this to her and asked for the location of the corporate office... all i really wanted was a city or state... just something to narrow down the search online... then she began to question my interest in the position and conveniently became too busy to talk until Monday. I eventually gave up the repeatitive argument and told her I was no longer interested in the position and would be reporting the post as a scam... unfortunetly I do not have the posting number, it seems to no longer be online, however the email address provided to me was brainmorgan86@yahoo.com and the phone number provided was 447024073226.

PLEASE EVERYONE... WITH THE MESS THE ECONOMY IS IN NOW... tHIS IS NOT RIGHT... STAY AWAY STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!

YOU should be able to provide information on the company to prospective employees... are you able to do that?

I appreciate the opportunity, however you cannot seem to prove that this is a legitimate company... you are avoiding every question I ask and the quality that seemed to have gotten me "welcomed to the company" was saying that I will get bank account information. The phone number is incorrect and your main concern seems to be, not of the position, ie. training materials, office materials, responsibilities of the postion, but of the ability to open up a bank account and give you the information. Because of this... I am going to be reporting this listing on Craigslist as that of Fraud... any normal employer would not be set back by some questions asked about the company... and would certainly be willing a
