Complaint Review: Boland Naturals

Borland Naturals Will not process refund - says product not returned although I have tracking proof!! Cincinnati Ohio

In April, I ordered the product. I was unhappy with the product, so I was going to cancel the auto-shipment. The end of April (or so) I got an e-mail from the company saying they were not going to be doing the automatic shipment any more due to supply. I therefore, did not go to the web site to cancel my auto-shipment.

On June 4, they sent an auto-shipment and charged my credit card. On June 10th, I got the order and called Borland Naturals Customer Service at 866-985-9040. The service rep apologized for the auto-shipment, told me to send the product back for a refund, and that he would remove me from the auto-shipment. At this point I was a bit annoyed, but generally pleased with the service I got from the rep.

I mailed the product back via post office, with tracking. Borland received the package on July 3rd. As of today (July 22), I still did not have a refund posted to my debit card, so I called them.

The customer service rep told me that they did not have the package. I told him I have the tracking, which says they received it on 7/3. He said that doesn't prove anything because I didn't get a signature, and therefore, they haven't received the product. He said they may be backed-up in processing returns. I asked him to check how backed-up they were so I could know when to expect my refund. He said he couldn't do that. Then he started arguing with me about the e-mail they sent me in April about them not doing the auto-shipments.

After I threatened to notify you, he said he could give me a $30 refund until they get the product, which they had not. I again told him that the product has been under their control since 7/3, to which he still said it was not. I declined the $30 refund, not wanting to further cloudy the issue.
