Went to Advance Auto for oil and filter. They were having a special on castrol oil and Bosch filters with rebate. Sent original receipt to castrol and made a copy for bosch. A month later I receive a check for 7$ from castrol and a postcard from Bosch saying they would not pay it because it was not the original receipt

This is ridiculous as you are not given two receipts also they only need the sale number. I am a mechanic by profession. I promise you I will NEVER buy a Bosch anything! SCAM!!!

I sent the UPC off the package to them and paid postage and waited over a month. All they would need is the receipt number guy. They sent me a personal postcard with my name and address to refuse  my rebate. Who goes to such lengths to scam 7$ come on guy. They fact is they are splitting hairs and being dodgy to scam ME out of 7$ because frankly I would have used a mobil1 filter if not for the rebate.

Lucky for Castrol you didn't send the receipt COPY to them..

then you'd be boycotting them instead of Bosch.

I would bet these items were on separate rebates and were bought at the same time, kind of a catch 22 unless the retailler would print you another receipt.

Sorry you missed one of your rebates, it just seems unreasonable to blame Bosch for trying to avoid fraud in the rebate procedure.

No, I don't work for Advance Auto, Castrol or Bosch.
