I purchased a Bosch stove which retails for $2500.  I had it for about 5 years and the ignitor broke. It would not stop clicking.  I think it is probably a reasonable thing to break after this amount of time, but what I had a problem with is that to fix the ignitor every burner needs to be removed and oh by the way all the screws holding the burners in were rotted and will need to be drilled out.  Long story short the service person first told me I should just throw the stove out.  When I clearly was not happy with that answer I was told the price to repair would be close to $1000.  When I contacted Bosch I was told that they would give me a 20% discount on their overpriced parts which unfortunately doesn't do anything to the $360 labor bill or for the parts that I need to replace because they chose to use cheap screws that rotted out causing me to buy parts that were not broken.  How about answering this question, why is an ignitor not an easier thing to replace?
