Complaint Review: Boscov's Online shopping

Boscov's Online shopping Boscov's dept store Overcharged my bank card, their excuse was that they wanted to make sure it cleared, they said that i would be reimbursed 3 to 5 business days. They said that itwasn't an actual charge..WHATEVER! It s Internet

I recently ordered off of the boscov's online store. I paid with my bank card and the total of what i owed was taken out rather quickly. My total came to $55.94.

When I checked my bank statement, it showed that Boscov's had taken an additional $26.97 out. When I called them, they said that they "pre charge" to make sure that the money is in the account. And that as the items ships, they charge my account for those items.

The rep said that they will reimburse my account in 3 to 5 business days.

This is unfair because when they saw that it had cleared, they shouldn't have taken anymore out.

They aren't sopose to charge your account til it ships anyways, that's what the web site said. My bank account could have bounced if I hadn't checked it.

Stay away  from this web site!!! You will be charged twice, then have to wait til they put the money back in your account!!!

Boscov's over charged my account, but reimbursed me

I contacted Boscov's again yesterday, and they called my bank to "lift" the precharge off. I was reimbursed. They say that this is their policy. I am thankful that they did reimburse me.

However, I will not order from them again because I do not want to be charged twice until they decide to take the extra charges off in "3 to 5 days." my check book could have bounced.
