The Boston Police Department DISTRICT 4 division located at 650 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA is TARGETING gay & bi men in the Victory Gardens, "FENS" in Boston's Fenway Neighborhood.

There have been numerous reports of raids of men who have sex in private unseen areas of this park. This activity has been going on since the 1970's. In the past 2 years undercover police or the police will say "someone posing as a Boston Police Officer" is harassing gay and bisexual men who are not even having sex in the fens. Some people just want to walk around and look at the gardens that people are growing.

Numerous folks have complained that they are either being verbally harassed or with violence. If you report the activity to the police and internal affairs in about 2 days if you are seen in the Fenway neighborhood an unmarked Ford Crown Victoria will stop and 2 "undercover cops" will beat you up with baseball bats.

I tried reporting an incident and was constantly called by a Sgt. Detective Owens about the incident that I had. He would call and at times leave no message. But the 617-343 prefix belongs to the Boston Police so why would these numbers keep coming up on my caller ID.

I reported the incident to the Fenway Health Care victim recovery violence program and I was called by a woman named Amanda whom I thought on several phone calls was on my side. Last time I spoke to her before she went on vacation she PROMISED that I would set up an appointment with her and the GLBT Police Officer for Boston on the 10th or 11th of August. She promised to email me the police officers name so we could set up the appointment and talk about the incident at Fenway. She never did send me that email.

Today is the 10th and I have not heard from no one. So I think Fenway is just blowing smoke, getting peoples real names and phone numbers so they can forward them to the BPD so they can harass the people that complain. FYI: BOSTON POLICE DISTRICT 4 gives very, very generous donations to the Fenway every year.

Fenway is not looking out for the victims, they are looking for victims to exploit. I have talked to other folks in the Fens and on-line and they all say that Fenway DOES NOTHING to help people and that if you even report the incident that the BPD will harass you and try to scare you with bodily harm until you go away.

Stay away from Fenway, the Fens at The Victory Gardens. It is time to write to congress and the State Police. Boston Police Internal Affairs wants you in their office in private because then they have cameras of you and then your picture goes out to the police so they can harass you for anything they want and arrest you for anything,

Fenway should be ashamed of themselves working against the victims in concert with the BPD.

If you are harassed go to your local emergency room and tell them you feel unsafe and why. Media attention helps too.

The same exact thing happened to me!

I was in the Fens in July 2010 and was approached by a "cop". He treated me the exact same way. But instead of going to Fenway (they are as much help as the police). All Fenway cares about is their status in the community and how much they "care" about people. They are just a corporation looking to make some bucks and say they offer excellent health care.

After I was accosted by the "cop" I went to area D-4 and told the police at the front desk what happened. He told me that I should not be looking for sex in the FENS. I was not even looking for sex in the FENS. I was walking my dog as I live on Park Drive. I had my dog with me when I went to report this.

So the cop says "When will you FAGS realize that the park is not a place to have sex". He said FAGS and all the other cops looked at me and laughed. I even noticed one of the cops who is openly gay laugh at me.

I told the cop he was a homophob and then he said one more word out of me and he will arrest me for disorderly conduct. I just walked out. He then came to the door and said he would like to take a report and I just kept walking back home.

Then as I was walking up to Harrison and Mass. Ave a patrol car stopped me and asked for my ID. I looked at them and asked why. They told me that they got a call of a man with a dog lurking through peoples windows.

I looked right at the officer and wrote down his name and badge # and I said to him "Now that I have your name and badge number would you like to continue this discussion with Internal Affairs? " He looked at me with a blank stare. I told him what just happened at the station not even 5 minutes ago and challenged him.

He just looked at me and "sorry wrong person" got in his car and sat looking at me. I stood looking at him and took pics of him and his cruiser number with my phone and he just sped away.

Is it not amazing what kind of filth roams the street of Boston? I would rather have a homeless person come up to me than a BOSTON COP!

Fenway Health and the BOSTON PD! Two corrupt agencies trying to scare GAY people.

If you live in D-4, I would start to think about moving out and soon. If you get care at Fenway, do not be FOOLED by their "caring" attitude.
