I started dropping off my soda bottles at BottleDrop Centers Salem Oregon around the start of 2015, the first group of bags were accounted for just as they should be. I since have dropped off 8 more bags over 2 months time, after some time past I checked my account to find that I was short about $9.00, it was only showing $3. and change. I contacted the admin of BottleDrop Centers Salem Oregon and at this time have never heard back.

When going to the BottleDrop Centers Salem Oregon I noticed a lot of things that made me think this was going to happen. I listed them one at a time below.

1: The locked box for the bottled bags is over flowing most of the time, when you open the door bags that have been dropped off fall out on you or the ground. I put them back in but I have seen people walk off with them. I spoke to the store manger and he seemed like this was not his problem and pissed I even asked about it.

2. Finding the store manger took 15 minutes. There was no one in the front and no one inline even knew what the person looked like that worked there. I called the main number and left a voice mail asking if anyone worked there..lol.. I found what looked like a 14 yera old boy in the back who did not know anything and would not help me about the people taking bags of cans and bottles out of the lock box.

3. It cost me more money to go there and drop off than I got back. I was shorted around 8 bags so you do the math.. This is not a working way to do this kind off biz.

This system is not working, its just giving our moeny to the local thiefs. I saw at least 6 Mexicans walking off with bottles from the secure drop box because the door world no longer shut from being over full. Now, I only sat there for 30 minutes, this I am guessing goes on all day every day

This seems to be the way they operate. Again this week every day the room at safeway on jefferson is over cflowiung to the point it cant be used. Manager of store said they only come about onece a month and this is a high volume metro area. bags go missing, people steal the overflow, manager has no idea what is gojng on, Just pathetic how this business operates.

I intend to bring this to the city's attention. I hope no tax money is wasted on this company. I encourage anyone considering to let these 24 year old thieves to operate in their city to fing a better way to recycle. Instead of denying it why not fix it. I am going to include picture next time.

Bottle drop does not have 14 year old employees in the back room and never would an employee refuse to help a customer. Every business has a issue with people stealing never once did a customer report not getting credit for a Bag they dropped off where we didn't estimate there average bag and apply it to there account. The office is very good about making sure customers are satisfied. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. You should go into Drop explain the problem and they will do whatever is needed to makes things right. Once again I'm sorry fir your experience but please rest assured this is not how we operate.
