I may have misunderstood what Andrea wrote becaquse I am so hopeful that Edward, Michael and John will be caught and prosecuted. But, you will find her letter, which was filed, in July 2007. On the rip-off site under the name Edward Humphrey. Another victim another $10,000 dollar fraud.

Hello Again Debora. I was reading with interest you previous post about Andrea's comments about "the law catching up with Ed Humnphrey". However, I cannot find anything about this in any previous post before yours. I'm not sure if this is about his 2005 arrest or something more recent. I have a vested interest in this matter and would like to keep up to speed with this. I didn't see anything new in the local NJ papers and was wondering if I missed something. My name is Deborah, I am writing to let you know that I had tried in January 2007 to put Edward Humphrey, (whom I met only via telephone through a company my elderly friend hired "Boultes Contracting" aka "The Florida roof Doctor") OUT OF business! I filed complaints with state and local offices here in Miami. I informed the BBB of the fraudulent activity of this company and Edward Humphrey. I even went to the police who stated, "it is not a crime" it is a civil action. Civil action!! I am sorry to hear that you and your husband fell victim to this fraud.

I read your comments on Edward Humphrey and I am elated that the law has finally caught up with him!! I am hoping he spends a lot of time thinking about what he did in Rahway State prison in NJ.

The story leading to my speaking with Edward Humphrey is under the name "Boultes Bontracting". Which is a typo I couldn't change anyway. It more or less documents what led up to my knowing the name Edward Humphrey. We have yet to locate Michael Allen Boultes or John Mahon involving this rip-off roofing scam, but it is only a matter of time.

Please keep me updated with the court case against Edward Humphrey, I would love to know the outcome.

Again, I am sorry you lost your money too...but maybe we will all gain the satisfaction of getting justice. And putting an end to this once and for all.

This is in response to all posted comments on this website. I would be more than happy to discuss with any valid client that had contract with my company over two years ago a resolution. I have not had 1 opportunity to talk or discuss the events that had occurred May-July 2005. I would be more than happy to discuss the actual issues and the pending contracts that were in place at that time. I have started resolving substantial valid refund issues with clients, payments restructured over a set monthly time frame. I feel that this website has been utilized for homeowners to vent their frustration, which I completely understand. After two years of nothing being resolved I am ready to reach out and give the homeowners an opportunity for me to make the situation whole again. This will be the last submission in regard to the Boultes Contracting issue. We will wait to see what the state investigation comes up with; regarding who is involved. and who is not. Justice will be served to all who have stolen this woman's money. There is nothing more to say.

This woman is clearly upset with her decision with hiring Mr Boultes. The contract was signed by John Mahon In September. I did not work with Boultes at that time. I helped Mike Boultes out at the end of January. That contract needed special order tile and I spoke with her about changing it to a more readily available tile. She canceled the contract thereafter with Mr Boultes. I did not recieve 1 cent from this woman. I did not handle any money with this company. They owe me a signifacant amount to date. I do not work with them anymore. I left in April. She needs to take this up with Boultes Contracting

Hello again! I am writing this update to let you know that "Boultes Contracting" aka "The Florida Roof Doctor" is still up and running!! I had stated previously that the machine said it no longer existed. Well it does! Only the voice that answers is a "Paul Tosconowitz."

Forgive me if I have the spelling wrong because you can only leave messages for Paul and I have yet to speak with him regarding the spelling of his last name. Oh, let me add, in February 2007 when I spoke with Edward; Paul T. was no longer with the company. Ed didn't understand why I got Paul's voice on the cell phone. Just another little lie on Ed's part.

Think about this people. What legitimate company makes it impossible to contact a person. (you are connected to recording after recording) Uses only cell phones and toll-free numbers in association with their business? Hmmm. No brainer isn't it? A company that wants to take your hard earned money and then vanish into the netherworld to spend it. Maybe that 866-SOS-LEAKS is not even in Florida. How would you know? This is a public service announcement. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Check them out yourself.

If there is anyone out there that does not believe this (Boultes Contracting) to be a fraudulent company just dial 866-SOS-LEAKS and listen to what it tells you!! The recording will say, "This mail-box does not exist!!" If you go to www.BoultesContracting.com you will not find the website either. You will only find links to advertisers with other contracting information. This is because the website was removed. I have all necessary paperwork from the contract to the reports I have filed to prove that this company comitted fraud against an elderly friend of mine.

Where are you hiding Edward Humphrey, John Mahon, and Michael Allen Boultes? I believe that your own GREED is going to be your downfall!! I want you all to know that I will be watchful for all new advertisements for Construction, remodeling or roofing companies! I will follow up on all suspected to be false. What these people have done is a CRIME. It is Fraud, please if you are a victim of this scam anywhere along the Eastern coast,

Who is Paul Tosconowitz? anyone ever heard this name in association with Edward Humphrey?

There was a picture in the actual newspaper article that apperared that day. The Headline claimed he scammed $500,000 from at least 25 clients in 7 NJ counties. And that is only those who reported him. I'm no computer wiz and not sure if the picture will be included with an "on-line" article if you decide to obtain a copy, perhaps the The Star Ledger can tell you this before you buy the article.

I'm also no laywer, but to use old pictures and letters of recommendation from his old web site to represent work in Florida borders on fraud. Just my opinion. In fact, the Buoltes web site is a carbon copy of the old Humphrey site. There are actually pictures in the photo gallery of workers wearing the old "Humphrey" blue tee shirts. Un-real. Also, according to the Ledger article, he turned the same scams in Omaha Nebraska prior to the NJ scams. Now he's selling his snake oil In FL.

Since my first suspicions were verified, I have contacted several state and local agencies re: Boultes Contracting aka the Florida Roof Doctor and Edward Humphrey. Boultes Contracting has a valid contractors license, but in my search on the web, I have found different addresses in many states and in several Florida counties, with the same name. Therefore I am not certain that after meeting with Mr. Boultes that he is not involved in this scam.

The only thing I am hoping for, is that the law,through the vigilance of the victims, will catch up with them and put them in jail where they belong. Starting with Edward Humphrey on down to the pawns he uses to pull off the same scam.

One thing, is there a picture of Edward Humphrey in the Star-Ledger of that date? I would like to know what he looks like since I never met with him, only spoke with him on the phone. Sweet talker full of excuses; but, couldn't fool this Jersey girl. The more questions I asked, the angrier he got. Wonder why?

I can only suspect that this may be a "rob Peter to pay Paul" issue. In NJ, this indivual found himself over his head with creditors. He would lure new vitims, take a huge depsosit and pay off some bills or do a half-arsed job to appease a squawking client. I was trying to warn others of this individual in the previous post. His arrest is documented in the NJ Star Ledger, July 7, 2005. You can probably purchase an on-line copy from the newspaper itself. Once again, I wish you well.

He was a typo! HE, "Michael Allen Boultes" did not make the arrangements to meet to try and resolve this issue, it was I who made them on behalf of my elderly friend. Yes, Michael Allen Boultes did show up with John Mahon, aka the estimator that took my friend's $10,000 check. That was on March 10th 2007. There has been no word from either party since that date. Just to set this record straight there was no attempt on the part of this Company to bring an end to this situation nor has my friend's money been returned to her.

In your report, you question whether the afore ementioned Ed Humphrey at Boultes Contracting is the same person mentioned in numerous Rip-off reports generated from New Jersey. I took the time to look at the website for Boultes Contracting after curiosity got the better of me. I had to laught out loud when I read the testimonials listed on the site. They all date between 1999 and 2004 and are the same letters used on the now defunct web site used by the "N.J" Ed Humphrey. They were also used in his company brochure. I still have a copy. Too funny. Some even list NJ towns such as "Hillside" in the customers signature. Some letters also mention Humphrey's fiance by name and I can say, yes, this is the same person. The coincidences are too many. Heck, even the houses shown in the photo gallery may be NJ houses. They certainly do not reflect the style of South Florida homes. How can NJ letters of recommendation and pictures be used to push jobs for South Florida? I wonder if the owner of Boultes knows about this nonsense. Mr. Humphrey was arrested in the summer of 2005 for scamming numerous clinets throughout New Jersey. I do not know the outcome of the trial but where there is smoke, there usually is fire. Run, do not walk from this man.
