I worked for Box Car during the months previously and after 9/11.
Mr. Hofman made alot of promises that where never keep and probably never intended to keep. He turned out to be the biggest conman I have ever meet.
He offered everyone shares of his so called company to all the employees, (manufacturring companies and even a bank), but most of them just stopped coming do to his bad attitude and insults. He also promised me bonuses which where never paid together with expenses incurred while under his employment. One thing was clear, he didn't discriminate, he lied to everyone that he came in contact with and asked for money and pallets of samples to fill his demo store. He even got the display racks as a loaner for he was going to order hundreds of these for the stores he was going to build all over the US. He even said that overseas the concept was very popular.
He had a very catchy frase "We are rolling them out" referring to all of these stores that never even one materialize.
What a bad experience!
