In February 2013, my husband purchased tickets through Box Office Ticket Sales to the Pearl Jam Concert at Wrigley Field, which was to take place on July 19, 2013.  He was initially nervous about buying these tickets through a second-hand vendor, but visited their website and felt reassured when he read the 100% guarantee to deliver the tickets you purchased, or tickets of equal or better value.

Approximately two weeks before the July 19th concert date, we began contacting Box Office Tickets Sales to find out when and how our tickets would be delivered to us, as we were traveling to Chicago, IL from out of state to attend the concert.  We got vague answers and promises about tickets being overnighted to us that then still never showed up.  Two days before the concert, the reps at Box Office ticket sales finally gave us the news that they did not have our tickets.  Their excuse was that the vendor they were supposed to get them through "fell through" and it was beyond their control (From what I can tell in previous posts about this company, this is a common occurrence and excuse).

They were apologetic, but did not follow through on their 100% guarantee to provide us with tickets to the event of equal or better value.  Instead, they offered to refund our money.  Unfortunately, we had already booked travel and hotel to Chicago for the weekend.  We checked on-line and saw that tickets were still available through other ticket broker websites (Stubhub.com, specifically) and requested that the company purchase us some of these tickets, as there were still tickets available to the event.  They declined being able to purchase these tickets, but offered to refund us $100 of the $500 we spent on tickets, and then get us tickets to view the concert from a rooftop bar near the stadium.

We chose this option, as we were already committed financially to the trip through hotel and travel.  We were confused and a little appalled that the confirmation they sent us for these tickets to the rooftop bar were purchased through STUBHUB.COM, which was the exact company they said they could not purchase the actual concert tickets for us through.

Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing.  My husband and I spent the several days leading up to what was supposed to be a fun trip instead arguing and spending time during our work days trying to call Box Office Ticket Sales to try to resolve the issue.

In my opinion, this company is a scam.  I would highly recommend that no one utilize them for their tickets purchase.  They are unreliable and unprofessional to deal with.  I would say to the employees at Box Office Ticket Sales, that I would recommend you look for another job.  The company you work for does not have integrity, and will surely not be in business in the long term.
