Complaint Review: Boxnation

Boxnation Paywizard Misleading information and non-consensual auto top up Internet

Firstly, as the other report on this website states, there is no infomation or warning visible prior to subscribing that the connection may take up to four hours. We had to phone (which took ages and cost us money) to see if ours would come on in time (they don't help you over the phone). Luckily after we phoned it came on out telly in time for the fight but it is unacceptable and misleading to not inform people of this before they are encouraged to "subscribe now". 

Sedondly, you must subscribe to "Paywizard" which is basically Boxnation's own version of Paypal. We subscribed, were told we had to put money in the Paywizard account to activate it, and so put £20 to cover the Boxnation registration fee of £8 and monthly fee of £12.

I today looked at our bank account and Paywizard has taken £40. Having looked on the Paywizard account, it seems it sets itself to "auto top-up" and charges you £1.50 to "withdraw" your own money! I believe that this practise is immoral, misleading, and should be (if it isn't already) illegal, as it equates to taking money without consent (stealing). In order to cancel Boxnation subscription you have to phone up, but nobody ever answers. I have had to cancel my bank card to prevent future payment.
