I received a letter from Boyajian Law Offices regarding an outstanding debt owed for emergency room services. When I called the contact number provided on the letter to find out what these services were for, they stated they were for emergency room services provided at a local hospital in January 2003. Since I have never been to this hospital, I requested they send me information from the hospital stating what the debt was for and what services were provided. At that point they hung up. When I called back to try and get a name so I had someone to follow-up with, they hung up again. I then looked up the direct number to the law firm and called that number, I was placed on hold and then eventually disconnected. I am now writing a letter to this company now but want to make sure I am inline in what I am saying. I am telling them what happened when I called their 800 number which I explained above, but I was also going to add the following paragraph. Let me know if you agree with this literature:

This letter is to request validation of the debt you indicate that I owe, and by validation I mean documentation from the hospital of dates and services along with my signature to have these services provided. If you are unable to provide proof of this debt, then cease your collection efforts immediately. If this debt is not owed, and is placed on my credit report, it must be removed immediately or legal action will be taken.

Any guidance you can provide will be helpful. I am also in the process of contacting the Louisiana Attorney General's office.

You'd be well to follow that suggestion, as everything she said about Boyajian is correct. I have yet to hear of anyone actually receiving debt validation from Jackie when requested, probably due to the fact that none of it is legit in the first place. Read up on the Cleburne News articles from last year, as it exposes him for the criminal that he truly is. Much of the source material in these articles came from attorneys general investigating Boyajian, and after the articles were published, Boyajian threatened to sue for slander! Evidently when he got his CA law license, they didn't test him on the truth being an absolute defense to any slander claim.

I'm waiting for the day that Boyajian, NCO, Merchants Credit Guide and other law-breaking debt collectors get hit with RICO charges from the Feds. With enough documented cases, it's not a stretch to equate fraud with racketeering.

Making up imaginary debts seems to be something Boyajian and his staff do well. Many people got demands for payment for Verizon bills from the early 1990s..never mind Verizon did not exist until 2000. I got a bill for services from a doctor in 2002, never mind said doctor DIED a decade earlier and retired several years before that.

Usually, when asked to validate, slimy Jackie will slither away. But to cover yourself, I would also get something in writing from the hospital you supposedly had service from, to verify that you were never a patient. You can never have too much documentation.
