Boyd Building Services in Orlando and Windermere Florida.   Customers and employees beware!

Worked for the company for a short time and was never paid for my work!  I have written documentation from the company on what they owed me and were supposed to pay, was told weeks ago a they would be sending a check and have never received payment.  This company was not a fit for me due to the fact that they charge on average 2-4 times in my estimation of what projects should cost and sub many of their work out for they are not licensed to do many of the jobs they contract to do.  Hiring them to do small "Handyman" jobs doesn't make any sense.  You would be much better served sourcing a local handyman yourself and won't pay anywhere near what they charge.  You can't pull permits for jobs you are not licensed to perform and they bring in other people to pull permits under their contrator licenses and pay them a fee just to get around the system.  To subcontract work out is very common in construction services, but to use people to pull permits and never do the work is quite shady.  I will not state anything as to the quality of their work, you will have to draw your own conclusions, but I would ask any perspective customer to get multiple bids on any work you are planning on doing in or around your home.  You will quickly see how far off their pricing model is and most likely not have much recourse if your job requires warranty work or any problems / issues.  Feel free to visit their tiny office on Jeffereson St. in Downtown Orlando so you can see exactly what you are dealing with.  Non impressive to say the least.
