I am writing in hopes that you can help. My husband and I  used Bekins Boyer Rosene 1121 North Ellis Street, Bensenville, IL 60106-1115(847) 439-0152 to move us from

IL to Tx.  They came out and gave us a quote and we had a contract.

The moving day came June 30, 2010 and they  arrived.  The driver was rude and very unprofessional from the start.

We had used a different Bekins in FL and had a good experience.

On June 30, 2010 after loading part of our home they informed us that they could not do another thing unless we agreed to pay an additional $1800.

We went back and forth.  They stated the box count was off when in essence they estimated too low and they had someone else's items on the truck  who had over flow.

We went back and forth  with the Boyer Rosene Office and they dropped it down to around $1300 additional. Under duress my husband agreed to that as they had part of our home loaded, it was a holiday weekend, we had to be out of our home in IL and into TX.  They sent a second truck as they had misjudged and stated that truck would be here yesterday.

It never came and no one ever called or contacted us to let us know anything about it.

My husband finally reached the CEO of Boyer Rosene and  our items are still in IL with no firm date of arrival. The owner basically told my husband that they bid the job too cheap and that  he would "walk"from the business and we could just come get our items.

I am asking for your help. We have not been done correctly and after looking up reviews of Boyer-Rosene this type of behavior seems to be a pattern with them.

This is terrible business practice and we trusted the name Bekins and we have been taken advantage of. I have a dear friend in network television who after hearing the story wants to do a segment on this. I am hoping we can get this resolved without doing that.  They can not hold your items and make you "pay ransom" for them.

Our quote was $5590 and they now say it's $6887 and we have never gotten  the rest of our household.

I am copying 2 of the reviews so you can see what Boyer Rosene has done to others like us. There are many more online:

CROOKS, SCUM, DISHONEST. RUN!!??

Boyer Rosene is the essence of scum. They create their "estimates" with so many loopholes that only after they load your belongings and haul it away to they call to tell you they are going to charge you more, for me 25% more. It's basically holding my stuff hostage until I agree to pay. When my things finally did arrive, weeks after they were promised, about $5000 in damage had occurred. After 7 months of filing a claim they have not fulfilled the $20k protection allowance I PAID FOR. Boyer Rosene Bekins are CROOKS and they need to lose their license and every one working there needs to be fired.

HORRIBLE MOVING COMPANY??

I feel your pain, Boyer Rosene moved our things last summer and somehow a guaranteed price is not guaranteed at all. They incorrectly estimated our weight and stuck us with a higher bill of $700, even though we had a binding contract. Our box count was over what they estimated so they said we added stuff to our shipment. It was horse crap because we used smaller boxes to protect our valuables. Boyer Rosene Bekins should lose their license and be wiped from the face of the Earth.?

Today my husband FINALLY heard from the Owner  of Boyer-Rosene and his Attorney.

They were demanding that we remove the blog detailing our experience with Boyer-Rosene and stated that they would NOT "release" our items unless we signed their document.

So... as stated in the first blog, they are holding my household of items ransom. So, at this point we have retained our own attorney and will pursue this legally with our attorney and local and federal law enforcement.

We watched them load our items of their truck and we were told that the items would be here on Tuesday and it is now Saturday and we dont have our items.

For those of you in similar situations you can report to the BBB, Attorney General, News Affiliates  both local and National.

I will continue to update throughout this horrible ordeal. Also, keep up with your time missed from work in dealing with these types of cases as well as all expenses incurrred.

We have had to purchase items that we needed that are on the truck so that is an added cost.

Will update soon.
