BP/Citi Or 'BPCITI' destroyed credit based on a credit card never requested, never received, never used! The company is not even real! Wilmington Delaware
With all of my credit accounts qualifying as never late, I was ready to take me first apartment after graduating from college. I worked hard to never have a payment be late, to build a credit history. Imagine my surprise when I pulled my free credit report to bring with my apartment application, and found a $125 BP/CITI revolving acount, supposadly opened in 1999.
I never opened the account, never received any information cards or bills from a BP/CITI and after researching believe the company is not even real. The company closed the account in 2003, but it remains a delinquent account in my name until 2010. IT will prevent me from getting an apartment, a car, and eventually a house. Parents be weary, college students are targets!
Please help me bring down this scam and restore my credit. Also, is there any action I can take more immediately then writing to the reporting agencies?
