Signed up for BP Rewards to get 10 cents off a gallon. Did not use the card for a long time because BP is usually one of the more expensive places to go to, but got an email that the Rewards would be expiring soon. The BP gas station usually is one of the higher priced gas stations and usually had their prices higher when they accepted Roundy's Rewards from shopping at Rainbow Foods. However, when they did except Roundy Rewards, the pumps had clear instructions on them on how to use your card and also the pumps asked if you had a Reward card. I went to the pump and it did not ask if you had a Reward card. It only said to pick charge or cash. It also said to answer all the questions. I picked charge and it wanted me to swipe my credit card. I hesitated and it timed out and then I decided to push Cash and see if that asked for the Rewards card, but it didn't, I went back the Charge, swiped the Credit Card, then cancelled and went inside and said to the female clerk: "I want to make sure I get credit for the 10 cent rewards." (I could have gotten gas cheaper at Holiday with my 10 cent Cub Food Reward card and I know the pumps there ask up front if you have a Rewards card as do Shell stations.) Anyway, she said it would ask near the end if I have a Rewards card. I was pumping and it said twice about the Rewards card but never asked for it. I ended up paying full price. When I asked the woman to change my receipt or give me a credit, she said: "We can't do that, but the Rewards are still good." I said I bet you can't do that (give me credit when I had already paid) and you ripped off the Gulf and now you ripped off me and who knows how many other people and I am not going to use the card.
