I found Bplanning on guru.com and was contacted by Leonard Wood.  I signed an independent contractor agreement and was given two business plans to write.  I was to receive $400 for each plan.  the first plan was a disaster,  The business owner was all over the place as to what he really wanted and kept changing his projections. By the way, I took over this plan after another writer allegedly had a family emergency.  I Bet!

After I had 60 hours invested in the plan I told Leonard I would not work on that plan anymore.  He reluctantly agreed and me talk to another writer who was going to complete it.  I had no expectations  of being paid for that plan. I will however contact the Department of Labor.  I don't believe they are permitted to use the ruse of independent contractor to avoid minimum wage laws.

I did complete the second plan and Bplanning was paid for it.  after about a month I sent Leonard Woods an email asking why I had not been paid and received an email from bookkeeping@bplanning.com threateneing me with damages for not completing the first plan and telling me there would be no compensation for the completed plan.  This certainly appears to be an oportunistic situation in which they decided to pocket an additiional $400.  Business Plan writers beware.
