Upon moving in, I wrote a five page report of the condition of the home. The landlord ignored all but two items. The replaced the dishwasher, which wasn't an improvement, they replaced the hood range. They didn't provide smoke or carbon dioxide detectors, didn't repair closet doors, didn't clean the appliances or flooring prior to my taking possession. Only after running out of propane and the propane company had to light the water heater did a very serious water leak was discovered.

I did immediately report this to the landlord, several days later the maintanance person did come to inspect and repair the leak. However the water soaked floor wasn't addressed. There is a possibility of the floor failing and a fatal propane leak to ensue.

I had given notice of vacation and the landlord is constantly calling me to remind me of the fees to break the lease. I feel this home was misrepresented and I should not be held responsible for fees. The landlord has already found new tenants and hasn't repaired the dangerous water soaked flooring under the water heater. Apparently I chose the wrong landlord. Be aware of these properities they are only band-aided and there are hidden situations being ignored.
