Brainerd Hyundai steals my royal purple high performance oil and filter only to replace with cheap non synthetic oil and filter, then lies about it during oil change. Brainerd Minnesota
I got my oil changed in June of last year by Brainerd Hyundai. I gave the mechanics over $60 worth of Royal Purple oil and 12k mileage filter, and when I changed my oil today over 7,000 miles later (and several states of a road trip from MN to WA), I discovered a Mobile 1 filter and oil. Not only is this not a high performance full synthetic oil, it was also seized and completely melded to my Subaru Impreza WRX.
My mechanic friend had to put like two or three screwdrivers through the filter to get the filter off of my car. I know that the oil in the car was not Royal Purple, as Royal Purple is purple in color even if it is burned and bad. This mistake has caused undo wear and tear on my engine and oil pump, caused a lot of wear to my seals, and cost me $60 worth of STOLEN oil/filters.
They lied to me, stole my oil and filter, replaced it with cheap non synthetic oil and a low mileage filter. They then proceeded to hand me my keys telling me I was good for 10,000 miles. MN does not sell Royal Purple to my knowledge so I had bought and brought the oil all the way from WA through the midwest and Canada to be used in my vehicle at a dealership that ripped me completely off.
If you live near this area, DO NOT ever get service at this dealership, whether Denny Hecker owns it or not!
