This website claimed to offer solutions to business questions and stated to receive a report (solution) to questions typed into the search engine by way of download containing the information, a fee would be required. They charged money, not a lot of money, but just enough to cause trouble. I didn't receive a download, but another webpage of information appeared containing three paragraphs of 100 or less words of vague and unusable information. Then a popup appeared with a cartoon of befuddled man sitting on chair scratching his head, with the catch phrase, "Hey Dummy!" splattered across the top as a heading. This page contained a stupid test, that was supposed to be a test on the information they provided, which was nothing! I was very insulted and angry that I forked over personal information including my credit card information for this charade! BrainMass.com needs to get a life and stop victimizing students and wasting their time and money!

You can view the information they charged for at http://www.BrandinMass.com/instant/?id=895cbb034119c4b82f3754b4445836583658c

We have addressed Deborah's concern in our response to her Report at http://www.ripoffreport.com/websites/brainmass-com/brainmass-com-brainmass-inc-no-679fe.htm

Regarding the concerns of the customer from Grand Rapids Michigan.  We do apologize for any offense, as it was not intended.  "Hey Dummy" was an adwords ad, and not related to our Site content.  These advertisements, and all pop up ads have been discontinued since 2009. If the customer would like to contact us at help@brainmass.com we would be happy to provide him/her with a Credit for a free download.

Sincerely,

The BrainMass Operations Team

#3General Comment

I did a search to get homework help on the web and brainmass.com came
up. so I proceeded to the website to post a message and entered my
credits but it kept asking me for more credits. finally I was able to
pay for credits but still wasn't able to send a post to an OTA. so I
contacted Paypal and submitted a dispute for a refund because I did not
receive anything after paying brainmass.com for the service. It is
pending right now. Additionally, I was not able to find any kind of
contact information on the website for this company. This definitely
feels like a scam.
