In November of 2008 I had my Toyota repaired at San Marcos Brake Check. I needed brakes, the dealership told me they had worn down. I thought I'd save a few bucks and get them done at San Marcos Brake Check. I was charged about $600 bucks, but with a lifetime guarantee, I figured it was worth it. A month later, my brakes were squeaking and I noticed a groove forming in my rotor. I took the car back, they told me it was Caliper, and that it needed to be replaced, it was "Old". After another $300, I still heard the squeaking and the groove was getting worse. Before I took it back a 3rd time, I took my car to Toyota and had them inspect my brakes, they told me that the pads were worn down to 2 and that the brakes themselves were the wrong size. I took my car back to Brake check and told them what Toyota said, the San Marcos Brake Check manager told me that the pads they put on must have had some sort of defect, they replaced the brakes and still charged me for labor or something. To make a long story short, after after 6 months of back and forth and no new results, I took my car to Toyota to have them fixed. I have not had a problem since. I wrote a complaint letter to Brake Check, but never heard anything back.

At Brake Check we value customer feedback, both positive and negative.  We are committted to customer satisfaction and it is not our policy to not respond to feedback submitted to our office.  Can you please send your name to marketing@brakecheck.com so that we can track down that letter?  We would also like to take a look at your Repair Order to see your history.  Once again, I apologize for the negligence that your complaint letter received and will do everything in my power to see that this does not happen again.

Thanks,
