Complaint Review: Brakes Plus

I went to Brakes Plus thinking that they knew what kind of brakes my van would need. When I got there I was told they would look at it and let me know. After waiting tehy cam eback with a price of $286.00. I told them that woudl not work and so they gave me a "discount". By the way in the midst of all this I was told my van needed an alignment too. So I figure they know what they are doing I say go ahead. Then they tell me that factory OEM parts are ceramic pads. Once again thinking they knwo what they are talking about I "stupidly" say go ahead. I even specifically asked what kind of brake pads my van needed. So I am driving home after the "service" and started thinking maybe I should have got a second opinion. So I call the local Dodge dealership who (by the way have no idea where I have been)tells me semi-metallic pads. Then I start diggin deeper and find that they chrged me for a brake flush I never authorized and for parts that were supposed to be included. One thing I do not like is to be lied to. I got burned once...It will not happen again...Avoid these guys at all costs...Yes I did file a complaint with the BBB as well. Although I will probably get no satisfaction, I want everyone to know that if you go here prepare to pay more than other places and get charged for services you do not need.
