I was in the market for logo and web design services when I happened to receive an email solicitation from Branded Logo Designs.  The email appeared professional / legitimate so I visited their website which also appeared legitimate.  The website offers a variety of packages for logo and website design.

While on their website, an instant chat box popped up and I began communicating with a sales person named "Mark J. Cooper" about my needs.  Mark sent me a variety of websites they had supposedly designed and confirmed which package would work for a similar logo and website.

He even offered me a drastically reduced price ($699 instead of $999) to sign up immediately for the package that fit my needs.  Mark sent me an email confirming the cost and all the things included in my package, including the 30 day money back guarantee.  Everything looked and sounded good so I accepted and gave him my credit card info on the phone.

On 9/30/2016 my card was charged $699.00 by "Logo Bench".

On 10/3/2016 I received an email from "Mathew Wilson, account manager" that the first round of sample logos were ready.  They were very generic, nothing like their marketing examples, which made me realize I was not dealing with a professional company.

On 10/11/2016 I called the number in Mathew's email, 510-280-7645, and spoke with him to cancel and request a refund. I told him I was not happy with the service and wanted a refund. He tried to pressure me to give them another chance but I told him I was going with a local company and the decision was final.  He said I'd get an email within 2 hours and a refund in 20 days. I them emailed Mathew to confirm and memorialize my cancellation and refund request.

On 10/12/2016 I received an email from Mathew that I would be contacted by their "support team" tomorrow.

On 10/21/2016 I emailed "Mathew" and "Mark" and "Sales" that I had still not recieved confirmation of my cancellation and refund requests.  I received the following response from Mathew: "Your money will be refunded in to your account by 31st. Confirmation of transaction ID will be sent via email."  I never received a refund or email.

On 11/8/2016 I emailed "Mathew", "Mark", and "Sales" to check on refund.  I received the following response from Mathew: "I just confirmed from the billing department. It was delayed due to some issues with our merchant account money will be refunded within this week."

This feels like a scheme to prevent one from being able to file a dispute with their credit card company.  So I called mine and they said I should file a dispute.  So I did.  And am filing this report also.

This company is running a scam.  Buyer beware!
