Branford hall HVAC/R program is the biggest rip off ever, they promise you the world to get you in there.90% job placement $20-$25 an hour starting rate with a company they place you with. Full EPA certification yada yada yada. Basically this is all B/S no job placement, your looking at $12 an hour starting and you have to fight the chairmen of the HVAC/R program just to get your EPA study guide if your lucky you might get it 2 days before the test which is 100 questions and if you fail you cant work.
There is no vetting of the students entering the course they except anyone, people that have been in jail for killing someone drug dealers you name it and i'll a sure you they are a student at branford hall.
Branford hall allows a allowance of $500 dollars a day for the HVAC/R program, there are over 200 students enrolled, that works out to $2.50 for each student you might just get a 3/4" copper fitting for that. There is no equipment to work on, if there is usually someone steals it.
PLease if you are thinking of enrolling into the HVAC/R program please think again you will be paying back school loans for the next ten years and get absolutely nothing out of it.
PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

So you didn't like the HVAC program At Branfor Hall, huh? I wonder if you were one of the students who made the personal decision not to try. I've completed the program. I didn't know my left from my right when I got in there. About 6 months into the program I was completely wiring and charging huge commercial systems completely on my own. The amount of knowledge I inherited was endless. The knowledge I received wasn't forced on me, I chose to accept it with an eagerness for learning. So there are students who have gotten into trouble in the past? What's wrong with people who are trying to turn their lives around by learning a valuable trade? The instructors each have preferred knowledge on a different branch of the respective field, but the diverse preferences of each instructor all comes together as one. I never had a question that wasn't answered. I never had a day where I didn't learn something useful. If you're here and you feel you're not learning anything, than you're only cheating yourself by not trying. It's not the instructors responsibility to push your own effort. That's your own obligation if you want the education. I see a ton of people who are in class slacking off, then complain they aren't learning. Those are the same people who write reviews trashing the schools instructors and their reputation. I strongly recommend this school for hvac. If you want to inherit knowledge about the field, it's here. If you want to sign up and play with your cellphone in class, you'll find a bad review about branford from those specific "students".

So you think that a convicted criminal shouldn't be allowed to be customer of a training program to become an AC repair man? It's not like he's applying to Harvard Law School and wants to be a judge or somthing... If he wants to learn some skills to do honest work why not?
