Complaint Review: Brenda Ginsberg Art & Antiques

     I purchased a very old French silver mustard pot from this dealer.  The mustard pot arrived late.  It was an expensive purchase, so I was surprised to see it packed in soiled and dirty packing materials in a used box.

    After unpacking the item, I noticed that it was bent from the top to the bottom and would not set level on a table.  I immediately contacted her and spoke to her husband.  She was out of town.  I wrote her an email.  I was asking just to return the item and get my money back.  All I got back, however, was a vicious email telling me that ashe did not sell defective merchandise, and that I was lying.  After hiring a Florida attorney, her only response to that attorney was to threaten to sue me for harassment.

     I still have this damaged worthless item.  In addition, I was also sending her payments to cover the purchase price of asnother silver item I was interested in buying.  This amounted to several hundred dollars--which she kept because my attorney was harassing her.  Thie damaged piece of silver I received will cost me hundreds more to have fixed, by either a professional jeweler or a silversmith, if it can ever even be fixed.

    This woman is very unprofessionsl, sells shoddy goods, does not abide by her own stated retrun policies and is a disgrace and a menace to the antique business.  I truly do not know how this woman stays in business, other than by ripping people off.  She should be so ashamed of herself.  My experience with this woman is basically just like the lady who reported about tpurchasing the china from this woman.  To deal with this woman is to flush your money and hopes down the toilet.   She used several aliases for both herself (Brenda Ginton) and her business--probably so people canot track her dishonest dealings.  Do not dear with Brenda Ginsberg Arts and Antiques.
