Brennan Title Company STOLE MONEY Took $1105.34 LIARS Prince Frederick Maryland
My Boyfriend & I recently refinanced, our Mortgage Co. used Brennan Title Co. for closing. We signed all the contracts & we were receiving money back. After the 3 day grace period, Brennan title co. called saying that my boyfriend had not signed to have me on the Deed. While signing the papers, that had NO said amount, they told him that doing this would cost us and extra $1100, my boyfriend stated "Whatever!" and then left.
Days & days later we received our directly deposited amount shorting us $1105.34. We questioned on where our money was, they said they'd check into it. We had also informed our new mortgage co., the man there said that's only, at most, a $50 fee. He called Brennan title co., they told him it was for taxes. Few more days went by and Brennan title co. hadn't paid off our old mortgage co., we had paid for it to be overnighted (this was about 2 WEEKS later). In the whole process we asked were was our money, again. They said that since my boyfriend said "whatever" that it was a binding verbal agreement, apparently meaning yes! We are still in the process of speaking with a lawyer.
