Complaint Review: Brent Madill

BRENT MADILL. Last working 403-714-4815. Owes us $450.00 for a dangerous, ineffectually, uncompleted hot tub repair. He attempted to install a used motor, took our money, it leaked, so he came back, and said it was good, it leaked, he came back and added on a new wet end.Called him still leaked, he promised to return, he never came back. Called a reputable company who came and recitified the problem. They explained that Brent had not attached the motor to the wet end, it was spinning and hanging loose.he had not wired the pump correcdtly nor installed the cover plate, he did not replace seals, they had crumbled. We could have been electrocuted or had a fire. He was highly and repeateadly recommended by locals in Black Diamond - who were only his friends...they don't own hot tubs so had no first hand knowledge.We've since discovered that we're not the only local folks he has wronged.He also works with 2 other men out of Calgary who are also inept. He has gone into hiding from us. His actions lead us to believe he has absolutely no intentions what so ever in honoring his warranty. He has been known to work in the DV Area, Blackie, Okotoks, and Calgary, and is advertising on Kijiji, as well as word of mouth. Be warned, he is a real charmer, but a loser no less.
