I am filing this complaint because I found a similar complaint against Mr. Bret Watkins filed by another person he ripped off. Lucky for that consumer, he got his money back.

Well, my client is still waiting and is in the hole for $18500. Similar to the above referenced ripoff report, my client trusted Mr. Watkins to provide him with two Mack trucks in September 2012, for which my client paid him in full. My client contacted Mr. Watkins several times in the months after making paymenst and Mr. Watkins had one excuse after the other.

When I got involved, Mr. Watkins assured me that he would be repaying my client in full. He even signed a statement to that effect.I have called him and left numerous messages, both voicemails and emails.

It has been a year now since I contacted Mr. Watkins and thus far he has only sent $1500. His reason for only sending this amount was because he had worked out a deal in Honduras and was waiting for his money to clear the US bank. That was a lie because he never made good on his promise to pay the additional funds. Nor has he contacted me or my client.

To add insult to injury, Mr. Watkins gave my client a bogus address. I contacted the Sheriff's Office in Orlando and one of the officers agreed to drive by to see if Mr. Watkins still lived at the address he'd given to my client. Well, there was no such address!

I filed a complaint with the State's Attorney's Office, but that office was not able to do much. A complaint was sufficient.

Mr. Watkins, because he refuses to refund my clients money, is a thief and because he has failed to make good on his promises, is a liar.

I am writing this because if you are going to go into any kind of business, please do your due diligence and get an attorney involved early in the process. Never send money, until and unless you have the product in hand!
