Brewmasters Pub sold bogus gift certificate in bankruptcy Kenosha Wisconsin
Purchased 2 50.00 gift certificate for a present April 17th, 2004. Business closed May 1st without telling us that these certificates had to be used ASAP.
Contacted owner, we were informed me that they were in bankruptcy and opening new business called Heritage Catering and hall rental.
Will not refund gift certificates worth $100.00.
Made contact with my credit company to refuse payment of 100.00
I assumed that I was dealing with an honest reputable business person in Kenosha, but I was wrong. I was told by an employee named Heather too bad, I was told that in the future if and when they decided to open a restaurant later that they might honor the certificates.
Embarrased for giving bogus gift certifcate. Got ripped off for $100.00

I charged the gift certificate to my credit card. so when I received my bill I sent a letter to my credit card company with an explanation disputing the charges. I have not heard from Brewmasters but I have received a letter from my credi card company letting me know that they will credit my account. Thank you credit card company. Shame on you Brewmaster. I am a honest customer in your town you are ripping off your own people that helped make your former business what it was.
