He was trusted to finish a simple job but stole tools from my garage including $200 sunglasses and left the job unfinished and in worse shape than when it was started. Contact me for more info. He posts on Craigslist in the Lake Forest, California area as a carpenter/ handyman but really is there to rob you blind when you turn your back. Beware!

Very simple rule to follow in the hiring of "Handymen...."

....is, "don't."  "Handymen" are, by definition, incapable of keeping jobs with reputable, licensed and bonded companies that will back up their work and provide guarantees and warranties.  They are, by definition, unreliable drifters who are looking to pick up extra money by doing slipshod work for gullible, cheap saps hoping to save a few bucks.  They can't be "fired" and they don't have web pages where you can leave ratings so they can do as much work as they want (or, more to the point, don't want) to do.  They will invariably be sloppy and uncaring even if they show up.  Their goal is to get money in their pockets and move on to the next sucker.

Hire licensed, bonded contractors to do all the work you aren't capable of doing yourself.  This will cost money, but it will also save money over that unemployed creep who promises you work in exchange for cash.  Good luck.
