I had a horrible experience with this bridal shop and experienced the worst customer service ever!! It should have raised a red flag when my dress arrived and I expressed concern about a seam across the front of the dress. Instead of trying to reassure me, the owner proceeded to insist that the sample dresses were all like that and then went to pull them out to show me.
My sister ordered her MOH dress there as well, after requesting to purchace the sample dress. (She was told that they needed that sample because it was the only one and not to worry; the dress would arrive in plenty of time.) Her dress was set to arrive mid-May. The wedding was June 14th, however it was in Puerto Rico and we were leaving Tuesday the 10th.

When we went in for the final dress fitting on June 1st, her dress had still not arrived. We were assured it would be there midweek. When I called midweek, the dress had still not arrived and I was told it would be there by Monday, the 9th. When I expressed my concern and was upset that the dress was arriving the day before we were leaving, the owner responded with " Well, it's better than the day after you leave!". I found this remark to be extremely rude and unprofessional. At this point I asked if we could please buy the sample since we knew it fit and was there; however, we were told it had been sold to another customer. Funny, when we couldn't purchase a couple of months prior!

When we went to the shop the day the dress arrived, I voiced my opinion that she was very unprofessional with her comment and she proceeded to argue with me that she was not and then lecture me about life being too short to worry about small things. (Meanwhile, we had to make two trips to downtown Phoenix the day before we were leaving, as we were preparing for our trip.) She also said that she never told us she would not sell us the sample, she always would sell them, although we both heard that statement. At the fitting the owner continued her unprofessionalism by making a comment about the dress being needed to be altered because of weight gain and that was why we had to return. I was outraged!!

The daughter then threatened to not do the alterations and refused to accept a check from me (after I had written one there previously).I would reccommend anyone purchasing a dress to go elsewhere! You would think that working in this business these women would learn that it's better customer service to not upset a bride so much in an already stressful event! I've rarely experienced such horrible customer service and even though it was the day before the wedding, I would have went elsewhere for a dress had they not refused to refund my money for the dress!

This complaint has very little to do with the truth.

The customer originally found and tried on the Gown in question in New Jersey, while in Arizona she found the same Gown in my store, again tried it on , decided it was what she wanted and subsequently ordered it. At her 1st fitting she complained about the seam at the midriff of the Gown, in an attempt to reassure the customer I explained the seam was an intregal part of the design, and that it was identical to the Gown she tried on in New Jersey aswell as the Gown she tried on in my store. I then showed her the seam on the same Gown she originally tried on.

As far as th Maid of Honor Dress, it did arrive later than I would have liked, for this I appologize, we very, very seldom have shipping gliches, but it does happen. The turth be told it is better to receive it before rather than after the wedding. As for the Dress we had in stock, I am in the business of selling Dresses and the idea that I wouldn't sell a dress out of our stock is absurd.

With regard to the alterations of the Maid of Honor Dress, the Maid of Honor herself, before even trying the dress on said " I'll probably need alterations, I've gained weight ". They did have to come back simply because we had our seamstress drop what she was doing in order to perform the needed alterations. The dress was completed in roughly an hour.

My Daughter did have reservations about performing the alterations, because of the customers combative attitude, but as the dress was late arriving I beleive we were obligated to have the dress ready for her that day.

It should also be noted that this type of complaint forum may seem like a great Idea, but can be very damaging to honest small businesses as anybody can log on and make any type of wildly exagerrated claim, with out fear of reprisal. I would have never known about this complaint had a friend not stumbled over the site.
