I when on line looking for a good deal for a  bundle from Time warner Cable I typed in on the search engine Time Warner Cable and when the name popped up I when to the site thinking it was Time Warner.

It was a sub-contractor of Time Warner which I found out later after I canceled the order because the would not guarantee my existing phone number. There was a free router with the bundle that you pay up front and get a Forty Dollar rebate later.

Everything should have been canceled when I told the person I was dealing with to cancel the order that was 9/10/10,  a charge showed up on my credit card 9/13/10. I called Bridgevine/offwire today 9/13/10 and told them I canceled the order and they refused to take the charge off my card. I called my Bank and told them not to pay it but they said the agreement they have with Visa they cannot do that.

They recommended I cancel my card so they cannot charge anything else but Bridgevine would still get paid. I do not want to cancel my card I got in touch with Time Warner Cable and they said they would look into it we will see. This company is a complete fraud and I will keep after this with Time Warner until this is corrected.

This doesn't sound like a Time Warner issue...

From what I am understanding:

1) You typed in "Time Warner Cable" on your computer to try and get a good deal for Time Warner Cable service.

2) You clicked a result on the search engine's webpage.

3) It took you to a website that claimed to be a sub-contractor of Time Warner Cable.

4) Bridgevine/offwire stated they could not guarantee you would keep your number if you got Digital Phone Service.

From my research, you went to a website called www.offerwire.com. They are an affiliate of Bridgevine. Time Warner Cable did NOT charge your credit card, it was Bridgevine. From some additional research you are *NOT* the only one to be ripped-off by Bridgevine/Offerwire. I would pursue this with them and not Time Warner Cable since Bridgevine is the one who charged your credit card.

If you would like great deals on Time Warner Cable service, godirectly to the Time Warner Cable website itself. We are running a great bundle deal for $99/monthwhich includes Digital Cable, Road Runner High-Speed Internet, and Unlimited Digital phone service. Since you are in the North Carolina area, this is the direct link to Time Warner Cable's website for the Carolinas region:

http://www.timewarnercable.com/Localization/Corporate.ashx?tid=21&linkid=48

Just type in your zip code and it can provide deals for you. If you need to speak with someone concerning your order or customer service, you can also call 1-800-TWCABLE (1-800-892-2253)

**As an added tip, make sure that when you are searching for something on the Internet that you verify exactly where you are going to be taken to. Most search engines reveal the actual website address below the result. And NEVER click on a "Sponsored link"...they NEVER take you to the correct website, and they will sometimes send you to a website that is infected with malicious software.**
