BRIDGEVINE is putting ads online that make it look like they are the post office.  There is fine print that says they are not.  They try to make it look like they are the USPS for online address changes.

I did not read the fine print and that is my fault.  But I want to warn consumers that you DO NOT need their services at $4.95.

Moving is stressful.  I just wanted to tear through the process of submitting the address change and when it came to the $4.95 charge I thought is was strange but just to get in done I allowed it.

I should of looked more closely at what I was doing so my bank says there is nothing I can do about it.  They also reccommend reporting the credit card number I used as stolen (identity theft) as there is no telling what they will do with it later.  I have taken care of that so at least I don't have to worry about illegal charges to my account in the future as other RipoffReport complaints have documented against Bridgevine.

Since there are no other posts that tell of this ripoff, I wanted to let the online community that THEY ARE NOT THE POST OFFICE.  You can do an online address change with the USPS for only $1.00 and it is very convenient.

By the way, there is no contact information on the web site and emails come back as undeliverable.  The name of the web site is MyChangeAddress.  Do not use it.  You don't need it and it may result in the theft of your identity and unauthorized charges to your credit/debit card.

I hope this is helpful to others who are going through the stress of moving.

This site has copied the look and layout of the actual USPS move and paid google for advertizing to make money absolutely without any value-add.

Bridgevine is a ripoff.  They never submitted the COA and I had to do with the USPS which I should have done in the first place.

Scammers.  They charge for a service that is free at USPS.

Stay away from this sleezy operation.

Change of address was not processed

On 6-24-11 I registered a change of address with MyChangeAddress.con and on 6-27-11 my bank paid MyChangeAddress.con $6.99 which I agreed to pay for their services.  As of 7-16-11 my mail is still going to the old address.

On 7-16-11 I found the Ripoff Report website and discovered that I'm not the only persone having trouble with these folks.  After a short investigation, I learned about Bridgevine Inc. and located their headquarters contact info.  Bridgevine Inc, is located in Vero Beach, Florida and their Phone number is 772.564.9871.

I called their headquarters and went thru a long series of recorded options but finally was able to speak with a person calling himself Lamar.  Lamar seemed to be very discontented with his job, undoubtedly weary from the relentless assault from unhappy and concerned victims demanding answers for the fraud they've encountered.

Time will tell but Lamar promised that the funds they took from my account will be refunded and that he would personally call me when the refun has been effected.  if this happens as Lamar promised, I'll come back and give an update.

What's the point?

True, the site doesn't claim any affiliation with the USPS, but I have to wonder what the point of the website is?

It does nothing more than fill out exactly the same fields that are required on the official USPS change of address website.   In addition to inserting a third party into the transaction, you pay $3.95 more.   What value is added by using this website?

I sorry that you feel that you were deceived, however there is nothing on the mychangeaddress website that would lead you to believe that it has any affiliation with the USPS.

In fact if one was to click on the Privacy Policy link it will take them directly to the Bridgevine website that contains contact information.

If I can be of any help in the future please don't hesitate to email me.
