My husband received a call from Jocelyn McKell saying he qualified for a $10,000.00 loan and to watch for an email for instructions on how to apply. I downloaded the forms and printed them out (7 in all), and followed the instructions. He was to fill out, sign, and fax the signed loan agreement along with a copy of his drivers license, SSN/SIN, proof of income and proof of address. It said the email contained instructions on how to set up your online bank account, which it didn't.
A collateral payment of $1000.00 was required and as soon as that was wired the money would be deposited in his account within 12-24 hours.

It wasn't there 3 days later. The people at B. A. are very hard to get a hold of. You always get one of two people, Jonathan or Jocelyn and Jocelyn's voice mailbox is always full.

He finally got a hold of someone and they told him that the loan was on hold because another lender had made a better offer with better terms and so they were withdrawing the offer. They said we should watch our email for other offers. There weren't any. They said they would continue with the loan if we sent an additional $1275.00 to insure that we didn't accept another loan and therefore wouldn't be able to repay B.A.

By then I had finally found some scam reports on a certain Jakob Advisors ( Aug. and Sept. 2007) and the experiences of the people reporting on that scam sounded identical to ours. Our scam happened about a year later ( July,2008) but I strongly suspect they are one in the same.

What surprises me is why I haven't found more reports on Jakob Advisors and Bridgewater Advisors scams. The president of B.A. is supposedly a Kelvin Kandly.
Anyway, if you are high risk like we are, don't believe someone is willing to lend you that much money with so little information when a local lender or any online legitimate lender won't even consider you. We were wanting to pay off a garnishment and some judgements and clean up our credit and avoid bankruptcy, but we'll have to do it another way.

One reason the Bridgewater Advisor loan was so attractive was the payments were reasonable as was the interest rate. $215.92 a month for 48 months at 6.5%. LIVE AND LEARN. WE DID.
