About a year ago I stumbled across BringFido.com and the 'helpful' rep worked with me to set up a listing for my tiny motel, which has exactly one pet-friendly room. I was given the impression that this was a sort of community courtesy thing, to allow pet owners to find accomodations which permit pets. At no time during the setting up of that listing did she ever mention that after a year they were going to send out a bill for $250! No mention was ever made of any fee whatsoever! What a scam - do not sign up with them! I never got even one guest from the listing, so there is nothing to show for the experience but a bad taste in my wallet.

We were contacted on June 29th by the client and responded on July 1st. We spoke to the owner on July 5th and the listing was cancelled. She informed us that she is in the process of selling her property. All invoices were voided for this property. Please understand that the customer was never charged $250. She asked to cancel and we obliged. BringFido.com is not a scam and we value honesty. We are here to help if anyone has questions or concerns.

BringFido.com offers each property a 3 month free listing if they are not in the GDS system. After the 3 months, an invoice will be sent out for $249 which takes care of the next year's subscription. After reviewing the invoice, companies decide whether our site was a good fit for them. If a company decides to cancel, we void all invoices (current and recurring). Their listing would then be removed from our site.

We do our best to clearly display all Terms and Conditions on our site. It appears as if this client spoke to someone over the phone or email. Once a listing is added to our site, an email should be issued to the client stating that they have a free three month listing. Since I'm unsure of the exact conversation, I'm not sure if the BringFido.com employee did not inform the client properly. Our Terms and Conditions are clearly placed online, so we do hope that this would help future clients.

Bring Fido's booking engine is powered by Expedia. If your hotel is a member of their network or listed in the Global Distribution System, you can get a free standard listing on BringFido.com by emailing your hotel name and location, along with details on your pet policy, to advertising@bringfido.com. To drive even more traffic to your hotel website and avoid third party fees, upgrade to a Premium Listing for just $249/year, which includes a direct link to your hotel's website.

Don't worry if your hotel, bed & breakfast, vacation rental, or campground isn't on the GDS. It can still be included in our online directory of pet friendly accommodations with a Premium Listing for just $249/year.
