Bristol West Insurance Group ripoff this company seems dirty and underhanded Hollywood Florida

I moved to pennsylvania from california aug 8 and a week later financed a car that required full coverage. I switched my current liability coverage through bristol west to full coverage over the phone and asked if there was ANYTHING else I needed to do to complete the switch to PA. I was told I was good to go. 3 weeks later I recieved a bill asking for 700 DOLLARS a month! This is up from 66 bucks that I was paying before. If I had known that that was the cost from the start I would have canceled my insurance immediatly.

So I call them to investigate why this was so I was told it must be my driving history but that it was correct.( I have a clean record and no accidents) I was amazed. I asked again a couple of days later because a DMV rep told me it had to be a mistake and I was told that I needed a new policy through PA and that I was paying an out of state fee. I don't know much about insurance and buying new cars cause I don't do either too often so I asked if I could get the number to one of their representatives to switch.

I recieved bad numbers and basically could not find anyone to help me switch tp a pa policy with bristol west. I got sick of the run around and started a nice policy with usaa since I am in the military I can do that.

When I tried cancelling I was told I could only cancel with a written hand signed note stating that I want to cancel. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS. But I was told that I could also fax it and that would be ok. The fax number was no good and I had to wait a couple of days to get a new one. I am busy all the time and don't get too much time during business hours to take care of business.

I called back and was informed that the number was good but I needed a different number. That number would not fax either so am I just getting sucked for an outeragous sum here because had I been told that I was going to have to pay almost 700 dollars a montrh for full coverage I would have gone somwhere else but I wasn't told till I got my bill.

No one will assist me at that company. Thay seem evil. I am contacting a JAG lawyer to look into the matter because I couldn't pay the amount they are asking if I wanted to. I shouldn't be liable for something I wasn't informed of.
