British Airways gives the run-around
Please help me get my money back! In August of 1999 my infant son and I traveled to Italy to visit my husband who was stationed there with the military. We traveled on British Airway and I was told by my travel agent that my son did not need a ticket or boarding pass since he was under two years old. We reached Italy without any trouble but upon reaching the counter to begin our trip back to the USA, our trouble began. We were told that my son never should have been allowed to board the plane in Phoenix or in London bound for Italy without a ticket. We were delayed, told to wait in one line after another and finally purchased a ticket for my son that would get us to London at which time I would have to repeat the process to get him from London back to Phx. Needless to say, not only was this a very intolerable situation to endure with a toddler, but I was charged AGAIN in London and told it could be reimbursed when I reached the states. It is now February, over six months since my trip to Italy, and all I have gotten from British Airways is the RUN-AROUND! I call weekly, am transferred from one person to another and though it is only a matter of $100.00, I do feel that I have been through enough! HELP!
Thank you!
