I recently received a letter from the British Lotto Commision stating that I won 3rd prize in the British Lottery held in London England. In the letter it also stated that my name was drawn from 8,000,000 names and addresses from individuals that previously signed for the North American Sweepstakes and part of their International Promotions Program.
According to the letter the cash prize for 3rd place is $162,500.00. A check in the amount of $2,500.00 was enclosed and I was instructed in the letter that the $2,500.00 was to be deposited into my account to pay the tax and clearance fee on my winnings.
The letter also stated that my winnings needed to be claimed by November 29th and I was instructed to contact my Agent Richard Chambers of the Equinox Disbursement Company, Subsicidiary of British Lottery Commission, 2251 Royal Windsor Drive, Oakville Ontario L6J 7X8 Canada, tel 1-604-791-1482.
If anyone receives a letter similar to mine, please do not cash the check--it is a scam. Remember if something seems too good to be true, then it probably is.
