I was contacted via telephone by Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc regarding a accident that occured at my place of residence by a AT&t U Verse technician. Let me start off by making it known that AT&T Uverse sales people are the most dishonest people I have ever incountered, here's my story: I received a cold call from AT&T Uverse salesperson offering me Uverse services(internet, phone, television) package. I replied that I have already tried to get this service but my house was too far from their main phone box therefore I couldn't get a strong enough signal. This was found out 3 months earlier by an AT&T technician who came out for a telephone problem I was having. The saleswoman then informed me that their phone box has been upgraded and that my house can NOW get a strong signal and that's why I was contacted by them. A appointment date was scheduled for them to install the service, I made it very clear to the saleswoman that my wife will be taking time off to be present on the installation day and you are very sure the box has been upgraded she stated "Yes". On the installation day my wife phoned me so I can talk to  the technician, he informed me that the signal is still to weak, I said I thought the box was upgraded, he said who told you that? I told him the AT&T saleswoman the technician then stated she lied to you the box has not been upgraded. Not only was I lied to but my wife wages were lost for taking off work. Later on that night another technician from AT&T showed up at my house that introduced himself as the supervisor of the technician that was out earlier and he wanted to personally check to see if a signal can't be reached as he was told by his employee. My wife instructed him to enter my backyard through the side gate that would lead him right to my phone box, he disregarded my wife's instructions and decided to enter through my front gate with his ladder, while doing so he knocked off my planter that was on my fence making it fall to the concrete and busting in pieces with dirt everywhere. My wife heard a big bang and went outside to see what had happened and she seen the broken pot on the concrete, she then saw the technician walking to his van in a fast manner. She approached the van and asked him did you break something he paused for a moment then said yes I'm sorry, my wife then said "you were just going to leave and not say anything about the pot you broke" He then said that his work's insurance would cover all damages. The next day I was contacted by AT&T insurance company Sedgwick Claims Examiner Brittney Jarmon and she will be handling my claim. I explained to her everything that happened and expressed my feelings toward the technician that caused the accident. Brittney Jarmon said she will investigate the situation and contact both technicians that were at my residence the night before and to mainly talk to the 2nd technician who actually caused the accident and she will get back to me with her findings. About a month later I receive a letter from Sedgwick Claims Management informing me that my claim has been denied because both of the technicians stated that nothing ever happened. So not only was I lied to by the ATT&T salewoman but my flower pot was broke in the process. This flower pot had sentimental value to me. I'm debating If I should seek legal advice on this matter.
