Broadway photo and Preferred photo seem to be either the same company or closely related. Their e-mail wording and tactics are identical. I had exactly the same experience with both companies.

In both cases I ordered the same Panasonic camera that they had advertised at about $25 less than anyone else. In both cases I placed the order and a couple of days later received an e-mail requesting that I call "customer service" to verify my order. The phone #s were different, but the tactics were the same.

After verifying my name and shipping address they told me I should get a different battery since the one with the camera was only good for 20 minutes. When I declined they said I should get a high speed memory card. When I told them I allready had several, they told me they would ship the camera, but did I know it was a foreign model and had no warranty. If I wanted the US model with warranty the cost would be about $50 higher. I then cancelled the order. If that is not a classic case of Bait and Switch, I don't know what is.

I then ordered the camera from another company and it was shipped the same day with no fanfare.
