In March of 2018, I purchased a Motorola DCH3417 set top box from Broadway TV. Before I completed the transaction, I spoke with the manager named,Jeffy(Jay) David, who suggested that I purchase, the Motorola, DCH3416 set top cable box, that would be compatible with my service provider, which is Verizon, Fios. Also said to call him when the box arrived, that he would walk me through the instructions. Before the box came, he told me to purchase a cablecard from Verizon, in order for it to work, which I did at a cost of $5.00 per month to rent it. As soon as the cable box arrived I called Jay, who gave me a series of numbers to punch in on the remote control. At this point the remote had a malfunction whereby I couldn't put the numbers in. I could tell from the tone of his voice, he was starting to getting belligerent with me, like it's my fault that nothing was working in order to hook it up.

I told him I'm calling Verizon, tech support to see if they can fix the problem. He said for me to call him back to see if the box is working. I was on the phone with tech support for over 2 hours trying to get is box working. They came to the conclusion that the box is not compatible with Verizon, service. After all was said and done, I tried to call Jay, back but he won't pick up the phone. I sent an email which he didn't respond to. After that all my numerous phone calls and emails were never answered. So now I'm stuck with a worthless cable box, and a $5.00 charge to my Verizon, bill. In checking the B.B.B. this company has over 60 complaints for bad business practices. I'm waiting for a response from filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. How these people are still in business is beyond me.
