I have known about Darin Ferarro for a while and I wouldn't exactly call him a scam artist or a thief. BrokerOutpost.com is a great social utility for mortgage professionals and Darin did a fantastic job of creating this great online community. But, I can agree that the site was built to attract loan officers, lenders, and other mortgage professionals so Darin Ferarro can sell his services such as mortgage leads and banner advertising. Darin saw the lucrative opportunity in selling mortgage leads which led him to start his own mortgage leads business. He even partnered with a few mortgage lead companies in the past so his name won't be exposed just incase a controversy or an issue arises that will damage his reputation on BrokerOutpost.

Darin encourages his circle of influence to abuse and bully new lead companies that signs-up on BrokerOutpost so he can sell his BO members his own mortgage leads product. It's a great marketing strategy but a bit unethical. Darin also had a way where members can submit certain scenarios on BrokerOutpost. However, this was a ploy to gather leads that are qualified so he can close the leads himself. Darin is brilliant but it seems like people are starting to catch on his unethical ways.
