This gentleman (and I use the term VERY loosely) originally sent us a good faith estimate indicating that our estimated funds to close were aprox. $13K. To make a long story short, we closed on the house we were selling, and had to rent back for a month. The buyers were very pushy about us closing on our new house, and we were under acertain amount of pressure to do so, otherwise we would have looked elsewhere for a different lender. The Brooks America agent, Michael Thomas, realized that we were in a bind, and jacked the closing costs WAY up, (and, no, he DIDN'T provide us with an updated GFE).

When we went to sign the closing papers, the lady from the title company, who we had never met before, looked at the documents and gasped, My God, he's RAPING you!" The total closing costs were $24,000.00! We went ahead and signed, but we swore we'd do something to get even. I suppose this is a start.
