Brooksell Universal Limited Cherry Shares scam, financial loss Albany Internet
I invested about $60,000 in Cherry Shares which was regarded as a very solid online investment opportunity and had about 60,000 clients around the world. It was headed by Dane Wolf and engaged in trading activities. I also did online social media marketing consulting for them.
They paid regularly until Dec. 3, 2010, when suddenly their Web site disappeared. There are rumors that they were hacked, but there is no way to confirm this. I was to be paid a bit over $7,000 that week by bank wire but didn't receive it. A company in Singapore that worked with me on the social media marketing was supposed to receive $1,800 by bank wire and didn't receive it.
The company was legally registered in New Zealand and I have the registration details.
